Kahoot



Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform, can be used either by teachers or lecturers or students specially for educational process. Kahoot! is a tool that using technology to administer quizzes, discussions or surveys and it is a game-based classroom response system played by the whole class in real time. Multiple-choice questions are projected on the screen and students will answer the questions with their smartphone, tablet or computer.

Features of Kahoot! are:
    1.Interactive Quizzes. Create and share assessments and quizzes that students can access remotely from their computers.







2. Shared Content Libraries. Share files such as class notes, quizzes and presentations with students or parents through content libraries accessible through the software.

     3. Teacher/Student Screensharing. Broadcast teacher or student screens to all or selected groups of students.

Kahoot gives benefits not only to students but also to teacher or lecturer especially for the process of teaching and learning. The benefits are:

    1. Teachers can see if students truly understand the material that was covered using both Kahoot quizzes and surveys.
      2. Allow teachers or lecturers of all technology skill levels to use this website with their students.
      3. Students can create their own surveys and quizzes to show understanding of the subject matter.

Kahoot is the best one to play in a group setting, like a classroom or a conference room – or even with family at home. So, how to play your first Kahoot?

Step 1: Find a game to play.
Choose a game from a million games in the Kahoot or maybe you have created your own Kahoot? So, open the Kahoot and click Play.

Step 2: Launch the game so players can join.
Change the settings if you like and click on Classic or Team mode to start letting players in. A unique Game PIN will be displayed at the top of the screen and players enter this PIN to join the game in the Kahoot! app for iOS and Android.






Step 3: Play the Kahoot.
Click Start once you can see all the players’ nicknames on the “lobby” or waiting screen. During gameplay you can use the space bar or your mouse to go to the next question.
At the end of the game, click Feedback and Results, and then Final Results to save and download the scores, favourite, or play again.

Step 1: Log in to create.kahoot.it and click Quiz, Jumble, Discussion, or Survey.




Step 2: Add a description, tags, and cover image.


Step 3: Create the learning game by adding questions, answers and imagery.

Canva is a graphic-design tool website, and it uses a drag-and-drop feature and provides access to over a million photographs, graphics and fonts. Canva can be used either by designers or non-designers and either professional or non-professional. Editing in Canva can be done in web and after that users can print the media design and graphics. In Canva, users can design their own designation for presentation, poster documents and etc by using more thousands of beautiful layouts that have been provided. Users also can publish their designs anywhere to reach the audience.

Canva provided some free features for their users such as:

       · Graph.
Users can create beautiful and custom graphs specially to present their data. By using Canva, users can present the data as visually-stunning graph and can design their own professional-quality graphs without the need to hire a graphic designer. Users just need to type in their labels and values or copy and paste them to the Canva.

 Photo Editing.

Do you want to create awesome designs from scratch in as little as a few minutes? So, use Canva. Because provided all the needs and it will help to make your work easy by turn the ideas into stunning ideas. Just make a simply search for the best graphics, photos, and fonts and then use Canva’s drag and drop tool to create a design.



       · Print.
Canva allow users to print and delivered the stunning designs that created by them to their doorstep. Canva provided high quality print products that guaranteed to look as good on paper as they are on users’ screen or maybe even better. Then, with a click of a button, users’ design can be sent to print and delivered right to their doorstep.

              i.        Open your Google or Mozilla Firefox or any web, then search for “Canva”.
             ii.        Go to the Canva.
           iii.        Click “Sign Up” and register for an account.
            iv.        Return to Canva and login.
             v.        Choose any graphic to your interest
§  Click on Blog Graphic.
§  Choose a Canva layout among the images or click “upload” on the bottom left to edit any image you want.
§  Change colour, background or add icons, text, images, lines, shapes over the components on the left side.
§  Click “Share” on the top right to share you blog graphic either with others to view or edit your design or on social media OR click “Download” on the top right to download your design.

Microsoft Word



Microsoft Word (often called Word) is a graphical word processing program that users can type with. Microsoft Word is a widely used commercial word processor designed by Microsoft. Microsoft Word is a component of the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software but can also be purchased as a stand-alone product. Microsoft Word allow users to type and save documents. Similar to other word processors, Microsoft Word has helpful tools to make documents such as spelling & grammar checker, word count, speech recognition, insert pictures in documents, choice of typefaces, special codes, etc.

Microsoft Word offers several features to ease document creation and editing, including:
  • WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) display: It ensures that everything displayed on screen appears the same way when printed or moved to another format or program.
  • Spell check: Word features a built-in dictionary for spell checking and misspelled words are marked with a red squiggly underline. Sometimes, Word auto-corrects an obviously misspelled word or phrase.
 
  • Text-level features such as bold, underline, italic and strike-through.


  • Page-level features such as indentation, paragraphing and justification.
  • External support: Word is compatible with many other programs, the most common being the other members of the Office suite.

Prezi



Prezi is a presentation tool that can be used as an alternative for making slide such as PowerPoint. But, the difference among Prezi and PowerPoint is Prezi uses one large canvas for the slides. Then, the presentation will zoom along a path to various parts of the canvas, and emphasizes the ideas presented there. Prezi uses the big picture of things to help focus the presentation and captivate your audience. Prezi presentations feature a map-like overview that lets users pan between topics, zoom in on details, and pull back to reveal context. Texts, images, videos and sounds also can be added into the Prezi for the presentation and it provides a collection of attractive styles and types of templates to be choose by the users.


What can Prezi do? The key features are :

       · Embedding video.
Just same as the PowerPoint, users can embed video into the Prezi presentation either from personal file or YouTube to make the presentation more interesting or more clear during explanation. Prezi will start the video immediately when move to the frame that links to the video and it will stop when move to the next frame.


       · Import PowerPoints.
    Prezi allows users to import PowerPoint slides into a presentation.  When importing PowerPoint into Prezi, the slides can be imported into a layout and the movement can be adjusted from frame to frame just the same as building any Prezi presentation.
